Tripura and West Bengal are the sates in Northeast India. Both are agrarian states with more than half of the population dependent on agriculture and allied activities. The major crop grown here is rice. Cash crops include jute, cotton, tea, sugarcane, and various fruits, such as jackfruit, pineapples, oranges, and mangoes. Coconuts and potatoes are also important.
The recent visit of our senior technical team along with the local sales managers to Tripura and West Bengal was a highly successful one. Our Delegation met many senior officials and Ministers in the Agriculture and Horticulture Department, Agro Companies and our Channel Partners to promote the TUFSHADE Agro Shade Nets. Mr. Pawan Modi was actively involved in explaining the benefits of using Tufropes Agro Shade Nets to the authorities. BN Chai, Hillolmoy and Kankan were instrumental in creating this broad bandwidth of contacts.
This is the first time ever when such extensive efforts have been put in to work in close collaboration with the horticulture department. Post this visit, the protected cultivation activities in these states have an added dimension to consider the best practices recommended by the Tufropes delegation.
Kudos to Pawan Modi for this proactive initiative.
