Farmer meets at Ithalapur and Sonna villages in Parbhani (Maharashtra)

Although Maharashtra is a highly industrialized state of India, agriculture continues to be the main occupation in the state. Almost 82% of the rural population depends on agriculture for livelihood. Both food crops and cash crops are grown in the state. The main food crops of Maharashtra are mangoes, grapes, bananas, oranges, wheat, rice, jowar, bajra, and pulses. Cash crops include groundnut, cotton, sugarcane, turmeric, and tobacco.

With an objective of educating the local farmers on the benefits of Protected Cultivation using Agro Shade Nets, Tufropes recently conducted a series of highly engaging Farmer Meets in Parbhani Taluka of Maharashtra. Our team briefed the farmers on TUFSHADE Agro Shade Nets, Crop Support Nets, PP Baler Twine, SUPER TUFF Ropes and other products used in Agriculture and Horticulture. The farmers appreciated the quality of our TUFSHADE Monofilament Nets.

“The response to our TUFSHADE Agro Shade Nets and supporting products from the local progressive farmers was mind-blowing. They were highly impressed by the quality of our products and are confident that these products will add great value to their current farming techniques,” said Shrawan Roundalkar.

One of the experienced local farmers Vithoba said “संरक्षित शेतीसाठी वापरल्या जाणार्या सर्व टफरोप्स उत्पादनांमुळे आपल्याला चांगल्या दर्जाची पिके मिळतील. फायदे जाणून घेता, मी सोना मधील माझ्या शेतात टॉफशेड मोनोफिलमेट नेट्स स्थापित करण्यासाठी उत्सुक आहे.”

All the Tufropes products used for Protected Cultivation will help us to yield a better quality of crops. Knowing the benefits, I am excited to install the TUFSHADE Monofilament Nets at my farm in Sonna.”
